I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor who offers compassionate, trauma-informed care to adults from diverse backgrounds. My hope is to create a safe and welcoming space where you can explore your present-day concerns, life experiences, and relationships.
I believe we all have an innate longing to connect with others and to feel a sense of belonging. Yet, when we feel misunderstood or overlooked, we may seek acceptance by conforming to family, societal, or cultural expectations - often at the expense of our authentic selves. I am committed to empathetically exploring your unique life story, including how family dynamics, cultural norms, and significant life events shape your sense of identity. Together, we can gently untangle these expectations, reconnect to who you truly are, and redefine belonging and self-worth on your own terms.
My experience spans a variety of concerns, including attachment wounds, anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, boundary setting, depression, grief, life transitions, and parenting. I am also passionate about supporting those who identify as neurodiverse.
I believe the mind and body are deeply connected in the healing process. My approach integrates Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Polyvagal Theory to help you tune into your body’s signals, understand your coping patterns, and develop tools to regulate your nervous system. Over time, this awareness can foster greater calm, resilience, and self-trust. Our work may also draw on cognitive and behavioural approaches, such as CBT and ACT, supporting you in deepening insight into your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and values – and in cultivating a more fulfilling life.
I work from a strengths-based perspective, grounded in curiosity and compassion for your lived experience, while offering tangible strategies to help you find relief, clarity, and balance. My counselling style is collaborative and paced to your needs. Your feedback is valued, and I strive to incorporate your insights about what has felt helpful (or not) in previous therapy experiences.
I am committed to ongoing learning and professional growth. I am a member in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC #20366) and hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (with distinction) from Yorkville University. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider, and hold certifications in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (Level 2) and Polyvagal Theory for Trauma.
Outside of counselling, I find grounding peace in forest walks, happiness in sharing food and laughter with loved ones, and inspiration in live music, theatre, comedy, and sports. These moments remind me of the importance of connection, presence, and joy – values I carry into my work with clients.
If you feel moved by this, I invite you to book a complimentary consultation to see if we might be a good fit. I am grateful that you’re here, and I would love to connect.
I offer in-person and virtual appointments on Fridays and Saturdays, and virtual sessions on Wednesdays.
